  • The Great Hunt was a competition held on Nal Hutta, and throughout the galaxy, once every standard year, lasting one standard month. It was designed to attract bounty hunters and mercenaries, as the prize money numbered in the hundreds of thousands and there was ample opportunity to prove combat prowess. Most of the winners, statistically, were Mandalorians. The Hunt involved the participants scouring the galaxy tracking down as many bounties as they could. The participant who had, at the end of the standard month, collected the most bounties would be the winner. The participants could kill each other after the first week of the Hunt, and this led to many contestants being assassinated by their rivals.
