Irol Elsek was a human male scout trooper from Tatooine, serving in the Stormtrooper Corps. In his youth, Irol took part in many podraces in Mos Espa and became a very skilled driver. He joined the Galactic Empire in 3 BBY, and graduated the Carida Imperial Military Academy in 0 BBY. He fought at Yavin IV, Moorja, and became friends with fellow trooper Igar Drelosyn. The two formulated different speeder tactics and presented them to Stormtrooper Command. Irol also befriended Avarik Grond, another scout trooper and best friend of Igar. In 4 ABY, was stationed on Endor with Igar and Avarik as part of Tempest Force. However, shortly before the Battle of Endor began, he was sent up aboard the second Death Star in orbit.
