Weltskin was a male searat on Terramort under Gabool the Wild. Weltskin was a common crewrat and one of the many unfortunate victims of his master's cunning and treachery. In order to prove his unbounded generosity to his crew, Gabool offered his own sword to Weltskin, who accepted the gift with amazement. As his galvanized shipmates scurried off to run after Greypatch and bring back the Darkqueen, Weltskin was the last to leave. Gabool asked him to demonstrate his swordmanship skills and, under the guise of teaching him how to use it properly, he cut off a piece of Weltskin's ear. Gabool was able to regain his sword, and Weltskin ran for the safety of the open sea. It is said that Weltskin's captain was Orgeye, so it is possible he was killed by Rawnblade Widestripe
