The Mur (from Reyshi þien Mür from Lobott "Ye Meer," from "Planet Ymir," a theory during the 2nd Dark Age as to the origin of the Tallmen) are a sapient species of squid-like aliens from Planet Mur, and living on their offworld colonies of Planet Mur 2, Planet Mur 3, and Relgrade Tower in the Huron Space. The Mur were once a Power-that-Is in the universe, but have fallen in importance to the Gequans. The Chancellor of Planet Mur/the Country of Wrat, Greghanmurr, also heads the Universal Union.
