HMS Nike (BC-09) was an early (Triumph class) battlecruiser of the Royal Manticoran Navy, and the second ship to bear the prestigious name Nike. The ship was originally built in 1460 PD and classified as a battlecruiser. When the Volsung Mercenaries attacked the Manticore System in 1543 PD, the Nike was repaired add refited in dry dock. Minimally spaceworthy, but not battleworthy, she was hastily sent on its way to reinforce the defending RMN force along with HMS Vanguard. (MA2) Some of this ship's china was still in use aboard HMS Nike (BC-413) many centuries later. (HH3)
