  • After his NHL career ended, he moved to Switzerland, where he played in the Nationalliga A from 1994 to 2005, when he retired. In 1984-85 with the Prince Albert Raiders, Hodgson won the Memorial Cup, CHL Player of the Year, Memorial Cup tournament most valuable player, and WHL all-star. He also played in the 1984 World Junior Championship and the 1985 World Junior Championship for Canada, winning gold in 1985. Hodgson was picked by the Toronto Maple Leafs 83rd overall in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft and joined them in the 1985-86 season. Despite his excellent junior record he never made it as an NHL regular, either with the Leafs or the Vancouver Canucks. The picture shown is not Dan Hodgson who wore #16, it is Jim Benning #15. Jim Benning as shown is shooting left, Dan Hodgson shoots right. An actual picture of Dan Hodgson #16 has been added. It would be nice if someone could remove Jim Bennings picture from this site. {{s-start...}}http://localhost/?title=Template:S-start&action=edit editSee also 1. * * 2. * Wikipedia:Redirects 3. * Wikipedia:Template messages/Redirect pages
