| - Maka Albarn (マカ・アルバーン, Maka Arubān) is a Scythe-Meister and the daughter of Spirit Albarn and his ex-wife. After witnessing her father cheating, she was inspired by her mother and she became determined to follow in her footsteps and became a Meister. Maka partnered up with the "Demon Scythe" Soul Eater, in an attempt to create a Death Scythe more powerful then her father. She is currently a Two-Star Meister, a Death Scythe Meister, and formerly a member of Spartoi. She stands out as the lead protagonist of the Soul Eater series.

- Maka Albarn is the main protagonist of the manga/anime series Soul Eater. She is a student at the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA) and a Scythe Meister. Her weapon partner is Soul Eater Evans and she wants to become a better meister just like her mother and strives to make Soul into a Death Scythe. She is voiced by Chiaki Omigawa in the Japanese version of the anime and Laura Bailey in the English version.

- Maka can be defined in at least one word: bookworm. Maka is a total bookworm whose fondness of reading left her a bit socially stunted as a child. That didn't matter to her, though, she preferred reading to interaction. As Maka got older, she began to observe things around her and analyze them to the fullest extent a child could. She decided at that point that she wanted to go into the same profession her parents had at the time and surpass them; also that she hated her father. So it can be said that Maka is ambitious and analytical in some way; although she's not exclusively ruled by her logic, her emotions can override what's right in front of her and cause her to be upset. Ultimately she tries to remember her courage and tackles any problem she might have with confidence.
- Maka Albarn is Soul's technician. She is the more level-headed of the two but when her anger gets the better of her, she will put her foot down. Where Soul seems to be the brawn, Maka is the brain. She always tries to think of a way to beat their opponent by exploiting the opponent's weaknesses. Her father is the Shingami's current death scythe. She seems to hate her father for constantly flirting with other women but she still loves him. Her mother was also a scythe technician; she and Maka's father are divorced. Maka seems to be annoyed at the fact that her body hasn't developed yet (which is the center of some jokes in the series).
