  • Elevators, or lift's, are simple platform mechanisms, that appear throughout the world. They're only found once in each place, they bring Kya to the next Destination, usually rooted at the beginning/end of each area.
  • The Elevator will be an item in the next Bloons Tower Defense game, and will cost $550. It will only be available for purchase during Multi-Layer missions or while playing on Multi-Layer tracks. It can only be placed off the track, and will allow you to move towers within its range between the underground and land surface layers. You can choose when to move the towers, but it can only be used three times before it gets automatically destroyed by the bloons (at which point, you must purchase another one if you want to continue using it in the same spot).
  • Elevators are a type of vertical transportation that allow for travel between floors of buildings. They have been seen throughout several Madness Combat episodes, first appearing in Madness Redeemer, where it was used by Hank to get to the Sheriff. Although elevators have been used predominately for transport, there has been two occasions where they were used as weapons. In Madness Redeemer, Hank broke the elevator's cables which resulted in the deaths of two grunts inside it. Hank also used an elevator to slice an agent in half in Madness Consternation.
  • Elevators are an important part in Prison Break.
  • The song features Mark Hoppus.
  • They are added in Build Mode; only elevators added in a vertical "elevator shaft" will be usable, so all elevators in a particular shaft must be above or below the others in the same shaft.
  • Elevators (inaccurately called "lifts" in stupid places), are torture devices invented in 1523 by the Spanish Catholic Inquisitors searching for a more efficient method of "repressing" the Jews, Protestants, and their Satanist in-laws. The 16th century design, although crude by today's standard, set the bar for torture devices to a higher level. Over the years, the original design was modified extensively until it became the modern object of torture it is now. As of today, the elevator has become a staple of the civilized business world, despite numerous attempted sanctions by so-called "peace-keeping" pansies.
  • Elevators are a utility on the maps "Five" and Die Rise.
  • Elevator is an area on Facility B3 that was meant to be featured in Dino Crisis, but during the development of the game it was scrapped.
  • Elevators are objects that can be found in the Mario series. Like their name suggests, elevators are moving platforms that can take the player to new heights.
  • The Elevator is a location in Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals in Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location. It is the location where Eggs Benedict usually starts. On every night but Night 4, the player presses a red button to exit the elevator, and travel out of the elevator through a vent, which leads to the Control Module.
  • The term Elevator is used to describe a number of related items of farm machinery used for material handling purposes.
  • This is accomplished usually against a wall or any other enclosed space where a player can easily stand on top of another player. The bottom player (and, if he is experienced in the timing of the technique, the top player) jumps continually. The bottom player's jumping causes the top player to rise slightly then fall after the bottom player has landed. Eventually, the bottom player will jump up at the precise moment as the top player sinks down, and the players will occupy the same space. The physics engine will then cause both players to rise continually until they have struck an impediment or been moved by an attack.

  • Elevators vary in design and method of propulsion. The 2D games featured slow floating panels that lowered and raised Samus along narrow tunnels. The elevators on planet Tallon IV use a traditional rail/pulley system. The elevators of Aether are much faster, utilizing a jet booster to launch the pads down and upwards at high speeds. In Metroid: Other M, the elevators are more like modern ones.
  • There was an elevator in Simeon Shamon's lab which lead to the cable car room, which is where his very own cable-car was located. There were elevators at Noah Tall's fortress. Noah Tall and Twisty used one such elevator to take them up to the Cloud Buster Launch Room so as to escape the Superfriends by jumping down the Cloud Buster Launch Slide. • Hey ! Beamter : "Ehrlich ? Wann ? Um welche Uhrzeit war das ungefähr ? "
  • Found throughout the city in most places of interest, buildings in particular. They are primarily used to get from one level of a building to another, though as far as gameplay goes, they serve as a temporary place of respite for the player to regather themselves after an intense chase. Oddly, when inside the elevator, the player can only move, and cannot jump or attack, but if you look closely, when you have Faith run into the door of an elevator on the inside, her hand wearing a glove will be fatter and whiter than the hand not wearing a glove. During the game, when being chased, Faith's enemies don't seem to follow her into the elevators.
  • Elevators are control surfaces, usually at the rear of an aircraft which control the aircraft's orientation by changing the pitch of the aircraft, and so also the angle of attack of the wing. An increased angle of attack will cause a greater lift to be produced by the profile of the wing, and (if no power is added or available), a slowing of the aircraft. A decreased angle of attack will produce an increase in speed (a dive). There may be separate elevators on each side, operating in unison. The elevator or elevators may be the only pitch control surface present, or may be hinged to a fixed or adjustable surface called a stabilizer.
  • Elevators were used on Earth as early as the late 20th century. Mercy Hospital in San Francisco had separate elevators for visitors and employees with patients, the distinction being communicated using signs. Two interns at Mercy Hospital were discussing the different views of the doctors Gottlieb and Weintraub when Kirk, Gillian, and McCoy joined them in an elevator. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home) An elevator was in use in main engineering aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D in 2364 to travel from the first to the second floor.
