Gary "Altman" Owens (born May 10, 1936, in Mitchell, South Dakota, died on February 12, 2015) is an American broadcaster and voice over, best known for his work on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. He was the host of Letters To Laugh-In, and one of the hosts of The Gong Show; in fact he was supposed to do both versions of The Gong Show, but the job of daytime host went to creator Chuck Barris who would do the nighttime version later. Owens died at age 80 from complications from type I diabetes.
