The Void is the nothingness into which the Dark Lords of Chaos were banished after their defeat in the First Battle. Believed to be infinite and beyond the control of any being, it can nonetheless be accessed and manipulated by certain individuals - the Riddling Reaver was one such individual, with a permanently open portal to the Void in the heart of his retreat, which he used to dispose of more troublesome enemies. How the Void was kept from infringing on the material world through such a permanent portal is unknown.

  • The void pests also use an area known as The Void to reach Gielinor by directing portals through it, but its relation to the one created by the Spirit Beast is unknown. It may either be the same place, or another one created by the pests. A large portal that serves as a permanent weakness between Gielinor and the Void is found inside an an ancient underground temple, created by Guthix cutting too deep with the elder sword. Smaller portals created by Melville Grayzag can be found on the Pest Control Islands in the Southern Sea.
  • The Void was the title of the featureless seemingly endless desert covering the entire surface of the planet Abafar. It was broken up by small bodies of water and several outposts such as Pons Ora.
  • The Void is a dark, mystical and dangerous area of Wonderland.
  • The Void is the fourth of the dimensions on Minecraft. It has no unique blocks and serves only as a space below the Bedrock layer. If a player in Creative mode digs through the bedrock layer during day, the Void will appear bright blue from above. At night, it appears black. When in the Void, everything is black except when the sun/moon is setting/rising or when lightning strikes. If a player falls for 2.5 seconds, they will start dying. This is one of the two ways to die in Creative mode; the other is the /kill command.
  • The Void is what is between realms and rifts, of nothingness and less. The Void itself is nigh unnavigable to all but the most skilled or gifted creatures- though it is said that the Dread inhabit this space.

  • The Void is any part of the SL world that does not have a simulator. It is what lies beyond the "edge of the world". The Void is not traversable under normal circumstances (one can enter the void when the client is suffering from a poor or dropped connection). It is easy to confuse the void with "Void Sims", because of the name similarity and the fact that both look like empty ocean (usually), but they are not the same thing at all. The distinction is that a void sim does have a simulator running it and can be entered like any other sim. It is deliberately part of the world.
  • The Void was a black hole-like creation in Super Paper Mario. It appeared between universes, being able to suck them up. In places where the void is large, small earthquakes happen frequently. Small earthquakes also happen in Flipside whenever the void grows larger. It was created by Count Bleck with the power of the Chaos Heart. It disappeared when Mario defeated Super Dimentio. Merlon says that Castle Bleck is within the void, or a least a place a lot like it.
  • The Void is what appears to be a rip coming from nowhere in space. It is not clearly visible from Earth during daytime, but you can see it clearly at night as a diamond-like shape in the sky. Inside of The Void is a white space, but objects such as a house or a laptop have been reported to be inside of it. The Void was forgotten by most of humanity after 2012 due to lack of interest and knowledge. To this day, it remains one of the most mysterious and elusive things to ever be in outer space.
  • "The Void" is the twenty-first episode of the Sonic the Hedgehog television series. It was written by Ben Hurst and first aired on 29 October 1994. Meanwhile, Sonic and Nicole are forced to work together to rescue Sally and Bunnie, allowing them to bond. Sally is reunited with her father, but only for a brief time.
  • The Void is the realm where there is nothing. Those who reside there are called Shades.
  • The Void is one of the two forces fighting for dominion of the world, using Demons to spread its corruption and chaos. If the Word could be considered as a sort of benevolent God, then the Void would be a destructive Devil. The Void achieves its goals by corrupting humans with promises of power and their darkest desires, eventually corrupting them into the demons they become. Ultimately the war between the two ends in a near victory for the Void, causing the Great Wars and the destruction of the Old World, and eventually leading to the forming of the Four Lands and the re-emergence of the Elves and Faerie magic.

  • The Void—as it is referred to as an actual, physical area in space—often takes a form chosen by its "wielder" or current denizens, though it is often seen against a backdrop of pure darkness or celestial atmosphere. The term "Void" is also used in reference to the power to distort, or remove entirely, large parts of space. This is the most present form of the Void in the series.
  • The Void is a character from Sonic the Comic Online. She first, and so far only, appeared in Issue 251's complete story, The Universe Game. The Void is presented as the most dangerous being to ever exist in Maginary World and is now in Sonic the Hedgehog's universe. She plans to obtain the Precioustone to give herself "unlimited power". To achieve this, she is playing a "game of cosmic proportions" to defeat Lumina and seize control of everything.
  • Travel between the plane upon which Norrath exists and The Void plane is possible through gateways, properly known as "rifts," that can exist as stable or unstable wormhole-like apertures in spacetime. Some of these rifts are recurrent but inconsistent, such as the one in the northwestern region of The Commonlands. Others seem to be quite stable, such as those at the base of the Anchor of Bazzul. Smaller tears allowing passage between the planes called Void Storms formed throughout Norrath during the initial invasion and more recently during the return of the forces of The Void.
  • When you die on RuneScape, their is a 5% chance that you will go to a place called The Void instead of going to Lumbridge, Falador or Camelot. When you're in The Void, the Grim Reaper will be there. The Grim Reaper will give you a choice to either continue dying, or to fight him.
  • The Void contained no light or darkness. It also featured no temporal or spatial dimensions (neither "up" nor "down"), but the Tenth Doctor used some spatial language to conceptualise how the Void was "in between" all the universes which were "stacked up against each other". Even time in most senses did not actually exist there. Anyone who entered the Void could choose to let eternity pass them by: they would "exist outside the whole of creation" and would be completely unaffected by events as major as the end of their home universe or the start of another. (TV: Army of Ghosts)
  • The Void was an ethereal, esoteric, infinite, entropic and omnipotent source of power. A universal and detectable power, not unlike the Force, the Void nevertheless differed in that its energy field did was not penetrative and binding, but was instead chaotic and tumultuous. Like the Force, some beings were "tethered" to the Void, which signified a unique connection and powerful union with the energy field. Such individuals were capable of manipulating the Void, and were correspondingly known as Voidborn.
  • Rumor has it that every Halloween, during the hours of 2 AM and 5 AM, there is a void that opens up in reality. It's said that you can take advantage of the Void... for a price. You must stand in front of a mirror in a pitch black room with your gaze fixated on the mirror. The infant will ask you five questions about events that have occurred in your life. His voice will sound like the rubbing of sandpaper and will be devoid of all human emotion. For each question that you answer incorrectly, one of your five senses will be consumed and lost to you forever.
  • The Void was a pocket Zone adjacent to Mobius, which Dr. Robotnik intended to use as a prison for the Knothole Freedom Fighters. During his initial attempt to transport Sir Charles Hedgehog there, he ended up teleporting himself there instead. His nephew Snively would subsequently attempt to put the Void to the use for which Robotnik had intended it, as a prison for his foes, only to be defeated by a liberated Sir Charles and the other Freedom Fighters and have his uncle released. Later it would be revealed that Robotnik claimed to have imprisoned Maximillian Acorn in the Void, while in fact the King was located in the Zone of Silence, which the Freedom Fighters deduced was an attempt to confuse them. It is unknown whether Sonic was referring to that same zone or to the Void when he told H
  • The Void is a high level dungeon added in version 1.16. It is located towards the south-east of the world map. You may only enter if you are carrying a license of the void explorer which you may purchase from Miral and Garok's Workshop for 72 Small Medals. Once entered, you may return to the lowest level of The Void you have visited with the Return spell. Entering The Void this way doesn't require the license. Dungeon levels in the void are regenerated every time you change levels so, if you die, you will be unable to recover any equipment you lose. The formula for monster levels is
  • The Void is essentially a realm outside the force. Sort of like an anti-force, but nothing quite that drastic, as it does not negate the force, only meets with it. In practice, its like channeling pure darkness, almost dark matter - negating reality and opening a rift to the nether. The void is like water - It flows eternally regardless of outside action. The Void Walkers tap into through pacting with it. Anyone can become a Void Walker, it merely requires sufficent sacrifice. One cannot call upon the void unless they are willing to follow its path. The way of the void is salvation:-
  • Little is known about the history of The Void but it is said to be the place where The Court lived and ruled before man existed. At an unknown point in history, The Court travelled to Albion and enslaved it, after the inhabitants refused to bow down to them. An unknown time later, William Black was transported into the Void while reading a mysterious tome, causing him to come face to face with Jack of Blades, who attempted to enslave him with the power of an ornate sword called The Sword of Aeons. However, William Black stole the sword and escaped from The Void through unknown means. Many years later, Black returned to the Void to try to remove a wasting illness which had slowly been corrupting him from inside himself. The remnants of the illness he left behind later became the Corruption.
  • The Void is a nightmarish dimension said to exist outside space and time, where terrifying living weapons were wrought to win an ancient and long-since ended war. No-one truly understands how the Void came into existence, but tales of its terrible denizens have wormed their way into the dream consciousness of almost every culture's legends, creation myths, and dark folktales. Those few scattered grimoires and madmen that dare speak of the Void at all speak of it as an infinite realm of unfettered creation, tortured landscapes of crazed organic machinery, magical weapon-looms and mountainous flesh-forges. None have yet ventured into the Void and lived, for mortals would almost certainly be consumed and woven into the endless process of creation.

  • The void can be seen through gaps in the lowest layer of Bedrock on maps generated prior to the Halloween Update. The Void above a world is infinite in height, and can be accessed in creative mode by flying upwards. The void beneath the world can only be accessed in survival mode by going to The End. Destroying the bottom layer of Bedrock will give a player access to the void in creative mode, but it will kill players, regardless of the game mode, after approximately 4 1/2 seconds of falling. Death in this manner results in a message in the chat stating "[Player] fell out of the world".
