Se rumorea que es una especie de Chamán Esquimal capaz de hablar con los cuervos, e incluso posiblemente de ver lo que ellos ven. Además, es licenciado en la universidad de Alaska. Posee un valor formidable y no se doblega ante nada, cosa que podemos deducir del hecho de que no se arrodilló ante el enemigo que le derrotó (Solid Snake), sino que pronunció sus últimas palabras de pie, sin dar un signo de rendición.
