- Elrond Peredhil (Half-elven) is a canon character from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. He is the Lord (lord, mind you, not king) of Rivendell and a master of lore and healing. He convened the Council that decided to send the Fellowship to Mordor.
- Elrond è l’unico signore e padrone degli elfi di Gran Burrone. Da millenni tiene il suo popolo soggiogato alla sua feroce dittatura fatta di torture e negazione delle più elementari libertà. - Elrond Half-Elven was the Lord of Rivendell. During the Third Age, he was the keeper of Vilya, one of the Elven Rings of Power. His home was a place of rest and safety in Eriador, and was also the home for the Heirs of Isildur in their youth. Elrond is the of the Imladris faction.
- One of the chief architects of the plan to defeat The Dark Lord Sauron, Elrond was a driving force in the victory of the free peoples of Middle-earth. Elrond knew all too well the power of The One Ring, as he was present at The Battle of the Last Alliance when it was cut from Sauron's hand. He was also present when Isildur failed to throw it into the fires of Mount Doom. Elrond's ability to see the unseen tides of fate and his skill at healing are legendary, but it was his influence in aiding Aragorn that ultimately helped destroy Sauron. Once Aragorn ascended to the throne of Gondor, Elrond and his people sailed west, never again to return to Middle-earth.
- Elrond is old even amongst the immortal Elves, having fought against Sauron in an earlier age and seen the Ring taken by Isildur before it was lost. He is the master of Rivendell and the greatest amongst the wise of Middle-earth. His judgement that the Ring should be destroyed starts the Fellowship on their perilous quest.
- Elrond é un Mezzelfo, ed anche uno dei più potenti elfi antichi rimasti sulla Terra di Mezzo durante il periodo della Terza Era. Elrond alloggia a Gran Burrone insieme ad altri elfi. E' figlio di Eärendil ed Elwing, e nacque nel Beleriand durante la Prima Era. Egli ebbe come sposa Celebrían, figlia di Galadriel e Celeborn, da cui vennero alla luce due gemelli, Elladan e Elrohir, e consecutivamente Arwen Undómiel.
- Elrond (Sindarin zusammengesetzt aus êl und rond für: Gestirnte Kuppel) und sein Zwillingsbruder Elros wurden im Jahre 525 des Ersten Zeitalters in Arvernien als Söhne von Earendil und Elwing geboren. Sie sind zwei der wenigen Peredhil (Sindarin "Halb-Elben"), da Elwing, ihre Mutter und Earendil, ihr Vater, sowohl Abkömmlinge von Elben, als auch von Menschen waren. Nach einem Richtspruch des Vala Manwë sollten sie wählen können, mit welchem der Geschlechter ihr Schicksal vereint sein sollte. Während Elros sich für die Sterblichkeit entschied, wählte Elrond, dass sein Schicksal das der Eldar sein sollte und erlangte somit die Unsterblichkeit.
- Elrond is the ruler of Rivendell and a supporting character in Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. He is a Half Elf from Beleriand. He is the son of Eärendil Half-Elven and Elwing. After the Sons of Feanor destroyed Beleriand, Elrond was moved to Lindon along with his brother. Like all half-elves, he is given a choice to be immortal or living among men. Elrond chose to live among his brethren and become immortal unlike his brother Elros. Gil-galad recruited Elrond as his herald during the Second Age. Gil-galad and Elrond were attacked by Sauron and his forces. Elven reinforcements arrive to drive the Dark Lord's army into Moria. Elrond retreated to a valley that he established a settlement that would later be called Rivendell.
