He doesn't fulfill any function and was only meant to be a sign that Quel'Thalas would be an add-on (synonym for expansion) later found to be The Burning Crusade. - Adon is a former member of the Black Claw army, who becomes a Forest Bandit. He later becomes a Martial Artist after being trained by Master Mutaito in Pre-Dragon Ball. He has a cameo appearance in Dragon Ball, and has since become a monk.
- Adon (アドン, Adon? based on Thai อาดอน) is a character from the Street Fighter series. A student of Sagat, he appeared in the first Street Fighter game, and most notably, in the Street Fighter Alpha series. He recently appeared in Super Street Fighter IV.

- Highest deity of the various Planes, Adon occupies a kingly position in the upper plane of Adonar with the other gods. He has one daughter named Elwydd, and is credited with shaping the Middle and Upper planes. Adon is reminiscent of the god Wotan in function, and his name is reminiscent of the Christian word "Adonai." However it is made clear that Adon is not an all-powerful deity, and that he works under the governance of higher powers.
- The pluralization of Adoni "my lord" is Adonai "my lords." Otto Eissfeldt theorizes that Adonai is a post positive element attested to in Ugaritic writing. He points to the myth of the struggle between Baal and Yam as evidence. Some theorize that Adonai was originally an epithet of the God Yahweh depicted as the chief antagonist of "the Ba`als" in the Tanakh. Only later did the epithet come to be used as an euphemism to avoid invoking the deity's proper name, Yahweh.
