His killings are eventually labelled by people of Japan as the work of Kira. Light is a very hardworking student and also a natural genius. He condemns the lack of justice in this world and goes as far as to call the world "rotten". After acquiring the Death Note, his main goal is to create a new world that is free of criminals and injustice, where innocent and kind people can live in peace and becoming this world's new God.
