The Cloudhigh Mountains are far to the east of the great port of Kelther, forming a line of snow capped peaks divides the fertile lands from the deserts and wastes that make up the interior of the continent of Khul. To the Humans that have settled along the streams that run from the northern half of the range, the peaks are known as the Cloudhigh Mountains. Half way down the range a great spur extends to the west. It once marked the southward limit of Human habitation.

Half way down the range a great spur extends to the west. It once marked the southward limit of Human habitation. From the southern half of the range streams rush through narrow valleys between hills that are covered with impenetrable woodlands, and drain into an inland sea known as Lake Mlubz. In 268AC, gold was found in the Cloudhigh Mountains. A rockfall within one of the mines later uncovered the old Portal between the worlds and before long prospectors found it.
