He had a recurring role on the second season of Twin Peaks in 1990, and starred in the Stephen King miniseries The Stand in 1994. He also had a featured role in the Al Franken series LateLine in 1998. Ferrer has provided voices for animation as well, including Mulan, Superman: The Animated Series and The Jackie Chan Adventures. From 2001 to 2007, Ferrer played Dr. Garret Macy, one of the leading roles in the NBC crime/drama series Crossing Jordan.
