| - Wiseman (ワイズマン, Waizuman) is a Wavemaster that joins Kite's team in the .hack//Games. Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
- Wiseman, also known as the Death Phantom and the Doom Phantom, is the master of the Black Moon Clan/Negamoon Family and the true antagonist of Sailor Moon R.

- A referred existence in an attempt to create god. An alchemist once fulfilled the ultimate goal of alchemy, to transcend into godhood and become immortal (the perfect human). The creation itself succeeded, but he seeks the destruction of those who are not perfect. He was sealed away in a monastery, until Amatsuka revived him using "Wiseman's Blood", a living part of the Wiseman which was not sealed away. Wiseman represents what the alchemists' seek---gold, philosopher's stone and immortality.

- Wiseman appears as a hooded figure in a purple-black cloak. His hands are visible, and they appear to be dark multicolored. When his face was revealed, his head was a skull.
- Wiseman was a General within the United States Department of Defense's Joint Chiefs of Staff. He claimed to knew about Snake's and Venus's past, and offered information on it in return for their assistance with his operation regarding the SaintLogic research facility. Wiseman's goal was to eliminate Dr. Thomas Koppelthorn and forced Snake to do it. He was the commander of Venus and ordered her to help Snake (and later to fight him). He preferred efficiency over morality, and appeared to had a hidden agenda.

- Wiseman is the true leader of the doodles. The last five episodes was about him. In the pilot he was behind Jack not speaking at all. In the first episode at the end He talked to Jack that he is a magician. In the second episode Jack fight with him and teaches him a lesson by bringing him to the void and in the fourth episode he mixed with his doppelgänger and turned into Wiseman Red. - A potentate who lived a thousand years prior to the beginning of the series's story and one of the ultimate villains of the entire series, Wiseman is shown to be the personification of ultimate power and evil and is responsible for the deaths of billions of innocent people. According to him, a physical existence was extremely flawed and in-efficient with the body only serving to weaken one's Wings of the Heart. Thus, Wiseman himself discarded his own body to live as a more powerful being of purely Magnus energy. He saw this as the next logical step in evolution for the human race and indeed the whole world and went about sharing his breakthroughs with the magical ability to capture the magna essence of anything within cards.
