  • The Heater is an enemy construct in Dungeon Siege associated with Goblins.
  • Heater prefers to take the path of least resistance. Legitimate work is too much of a hassle, so he made a living by shilling illegal pleasure pods; when the Nebulan authorities closed in, he escaped the rigors of prison by joining the Decepticons. Subjected to the Targetmaster process, Heater was binary-bonded with Quake and gained the ability to transform into a photon pistol. His laziness and criminal tendencies have not endeared him to Tiptop, Quake's other partner.
  • Heater was a high-ranking henchman of Jabba the Hutt in Mos Eisley. He was fat and grotesque and therefore often posed as Jabba for public functions. He also operated a small luxury cruise business on Tatooine that capitalized on Luke Skywalker's infamy after the Battle of Yavin. His sail barge, Dune Princess, was constructed to be nearly identical to Jabba's personal sail barge Khetanna, though he made sure to keep it smaller as a point of respect to the Hutt. Jabba ordered that Heater hire bounty hunters to pursue Han Solo after the death of Greedo.
  • frame|heater Heater es un pokemon tipo fuego de la Region Legendaria. Es la nueva preevolucion de Heatmor.
  • Heater was a member of the Resistance and a crewmember of an unnamed hovercraft along with Mac and Split. During a recon flight, Heater suggested to Mac and Split that they examine one of the fetus fields. Both of them rejected his idea, but he convinced them that by using the dumping grounds as cover, they could avoid the detection of the Machines. They eventually agreed to his plan and headed toward the fetus fields.
  • "Heater" was an Iotian slang term for "gun" (or, by extension, phasers, described as "fancy heaters"). The Iotians adopted their society to the book Chicago Mobs of the Twenties which described the 20th century Earth culture where the term originated. One well-known brand of heater was Bang Bang.

As they were flying low to use the dumping grounds as cover, something clipped their ship and ruptured their starboard input tank, making their ship crash on the surface. Mac was able to survive, but both Heater and Split died on impact.
The Iotians adopted their society to the book Chicago Mobs of the Twenties which described the 20th century Earth culture where the term originated. One well-known brand of heater was Bang Bang. Montgomery Scott was unfamiliar with the term. After Bela Okmyx contacted the USS Enterprise in 2268 and asked for "a hundred of these fancy heaters you've got, and some troops to show me how to use them" in exchange for the landing party, Scott asked Lieutenant Hadley to look up the term in the Enterprise's language banks.
