- Pay Day (ネコにこばん, Coin for a Cat) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in the first generation. It is the signature move of Meowth.
- __NOWYSIWYG__ Pay Day (ネコにこばん Coin for a cat) Battle Data Affected by Contest Data Contests (RSE) Super Contests (DPPt) Contest Spectaculars (ORAS) Pay Day is a Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. It was TM16 in Generation I. After Generation I, it became the signature move of Meowth, and up until Generation IV, the signature move of Persian as well.
- Pay Day is a signature move used by members of the Tonberry race. When used by Tonberries, it has a 50% chance of inflicting only 2,555 points of damage (Ignore Defense). Otherwise, it will inflict an arbitrarily high damage number, mostly in the five-digit range. It can be learned as a Blue Magic, but when used by the player, its Base Damage is 278 and it has a Spiritƒ of 57, costing 130 MP to cast. Its Variance is 0 and it still ignores the target's defense, making an increase in Spirit the only viable way to increase its damage.

- Pay Day is a signature move used by members of the Tonberry race. When used by Tonberries, it has a 50% chance of inflicting only 2,555 points of damage (Ignore Defense). Its Variance is 0 and it still ignores the target's defense, making an increase in Spirit the only viable way to increase its damage.
* Damage inflicted by Pay Day ignores the target's defense, both natural (base stats, armor) and magical (Shield). It can however be halved with Guard and completely nullified by magic immunity.
* Tonberry King uses a more powerful Pay Day, the damage of which is based upon Tonberry Hate, and which targets the entire party. It will either inflict damage equal to 50% HP to each party member, or instantly K.O. them. The chances for the latter rise with Tonberry hate accumulating.
* As a Pet, Tonberry King's Pay Day is used when facing multiple enemies (opposed to Knife, which is used when facing a single enemy). It takes either 50% HP or instantly K.O.'s all enemies.
