- Neera is the high priestan of Acquara, as seen in the Farscape episode "Jeremiah Crichton." The mother of Rokon, Neera abused her position and schemed to increase her authority. She manipulates her son's jealousy against John Crichton. She has also used a distorted version of the sacred text, the Timbala, to raise the Hynerians to deity status. When Hynerian Rygel arrives in person, Neera first tries to use him as well, but then denounces him as a false god when he reveals what he's learned. With the help of Crichton and D'Argo, however, the truth is revealed and Neera is deposed.

- Neera is an Iguanodon from Disney's 2000 CG film Dinosaur. She is the sister of Kron. She ends up falling in love with Aladar because of his compassionate ways.
- In 2005, the Wraith Queen whom she served had her cocooned in the hope that Lt. Colonel John Sheppard would try to rescue her when trying to escape and be recaptured. Neera told Sheppard that her people had been culled by the Wraith, and her mother and younger brother had been fed upon. She further asked Sheppard what his world was like, and where he was from. Sheppard then realized that Neera was some sort of spy. After the Queen tried to interrogate him again, Neera was brought into the room as well, but fled when Aiden Ford killed the Wraith guarding the Queen. Neera was killed when the Hive ship and its rival destroyed each other, after Sheppard started a fire fight between them with a Wraith Dart he was piloting. (SGA: "The Hive")

- Neera is one of the supporting protagonists of Dinosaur and Aladar's love interest (later wife). She is voiced by Julianna Margulies.
- Neera is very different from her cold-hearted brother Kron, but although their views are very different, they do love each other as evidenced by Neera's deep remorse upon Kron's death. Neera initially seemed to accept Kron's belief in survival of the strongest, but Aladar causes her to question whether she actually agrees with her brothers beliefs. After Aladar leaves the herd in order to look after his friends, Neera takes his place in helping the weak, being the only dinosaur who turns back to help two exhausted orphans. Neera is very brave, being the first dinosaur to join Aladar's attempt to stand up to a Carnotaur and shortly afterwards she attacked the same Carnotaur in order to defend her brother.
- Neera was the scar-faced Force-sensitive leader of the Force 57 on the 3000 BBY. She was a big-built Human woman who had many scars on her face and her hand had only three webbed fingers, but was the least gruesome of her group. As a member of Force 57, Neera revered the "Other 57"—the Red Sith members of the original crew of the Omen, the Sith starship which brought the ancestors of the Lost Tribe of Sith to the planet Kesh during the Great Hyperspace War. Neera and her fellow Force 57 members had a hostile relationship with the other Sith factions particularly the Sisters of Seelah and the Korsinite League, which revered and worshipped several members of the Korsin family, which had played an important role in the purge of the Red Sith.
- Neera was a manipulative and ambitious Acquaran priestan. As a result, she was aware of the priestan caste's secret use of the sacred book Timbala, distorting the truth of the Hynerian Empire's place as deities rather than merely sovereigns in an effort to keep the Acquarans ignorant and the priestans in power.
