Alioramus makes its one and only debut in the ride based off the eponymous movie at Animal Kingdom. It is the second dinosaur of the journey and is found after the Styracosaurus. It can be seen eating a Brachychampsa. Like the other dinosaurs, Alioramus most likely became extinct from the meteor shower. In real life, Alioramus only lived in Mongolia, Asia, and was long gone by the time the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event took place.

  • It's most distinguishing characteristic may be it's bony crests on its head. One of it's closest relatives may have been the Alectrosaurus as they were both found in asian woodlands, they both lived in the late cretaceous period, and they are both about 20 feet long.
  • It had a length of 6-7 metres, and lived in Asia in the Late Cretaceous period (75-65 million years ago). It's name means different branch. It has a long thin face and little horns on its snout.
• A proposed close relative of Tarbosaurus (which, if true, would prove a clear difference between Tarbosaurus and Tyrannosaurus), it was small for a tyrannosaurid, though the known specimens do not represent adults. A recent study has, however, suggested that it is not in fact a true tyrannosaurid, but instead lies just outside the group.
• Alioramus were bipedal like all known theropods, and their sharp teeth indicate that they were carnivores. Known specimens were smaller than other tyrannosaurids like Tarbosaurus bataar and Tyrannosaurus rex, but their adult size is difficult to estimate since both species are known only from juvenile or sub-adult remains. The recent discovery of Qianzhousaurus indicates that it belongs to a distinct branch of tyrannosaur. The genus Alioramus is characterized by a row of five bony crests along the top of the snout, a greater number of teeth than any other genus of tyrannosaurid, and a lower skull than other tyrannosaurids.
