Info
  • Porygon was won by Blue at the Celadon Game Corner, but was subsequently misplaced after a run-in with Red. It was then used against Koga by Red, before being returned to Blue. Blue later used it in the fight against Agatha. In the Gold, Silver and Crystal chapter, Porygon was revealed to have evolved into a Porygon2, fighting against Silver's Sneasel.
  • In Chapter 18 "A Tale of Ninetales" Poliwrath was accidentally traded to Blue, but he and Red traded back when they met up again.
  • Scizor was one of Blue's first Pokémon, received when he was a child under Chuck's training. It evolved some time between the Yellow and GSC Chapters.
  • In Chapter 18 "A Tale of Ninetales" Ivysaur was accidentally traded to Blue, but he and Red traded back when they met up again.
  • Red sent his Gyara when Blue sent his Charizard to him temporary. Blue then used Gyara in a battle against Entei.

  • Rhydon was initially captured by Blue in Viridian City, and he used it as one of his main Pokémon. He gifted the Pokémon to Silver, however, in order to make up for the absence of his Ursaring, whereupon it evolved into Rhyperior. Between HeartGold & SouSilver and X & Y arcs, it was given back to Blue.
  • Golduck is used by Blue primarily due to its Psychic abilities, in which it can see things obscured from his eyes. It can also be used as a channel for conversation through the Pokédex. Golduck is also used as a mode of transportation by Blue.
  • Blue received Charizard as a Charmander in A Glimpse of the Glow. Although he was given as a starter Pokémon, Charmander was not Blue's first Pokémon, as he already owned a Scyther. Blue tried using him against Mew but failed and withdrew his Pokémon partly due to Red accidentally catching his attention, which resulted in Poli's embarrassing defeat.
  • Exeggutor first appeared in Chapter 116 "Rock, Paper... Scizor". It was one of 4 Pokémon that attacked Viridian City during Red's Gym Leader Qualification Exam. Blue defeated it with Scizor and then caught it. Exeggutor was used in Blue's battle with his master, Chuck.
  • In Chapter 18 "A Tale of Ninetales" Pidgeot was revealed to be a member of Blue's Team. Blue primarily uses Pidgeot to send messages. He used Pidgeot in the qualifying rounds of the Pokemon League tournament and in his battle with his master, Chuck at the Pokemon League.
  • In Chapter 18 "A Tale of Ninetales" Pikachu was accidentally traded to Blue, but he and Red traded back when they met up again.
  • Arcanine first appeared in Chapter 116 "Rock, Paper... Scizor". It was one of 4 pokemon that attacked Viridian City during Red's Gym Leader Qualification Exam. Blue defeated it with Scizor and then caught it. Arcanine was used in Blue's battle with his master, Chuck.
  • Alakazam first appeared in Chapter 116 "Rock, Paper... Scizor". It was one of 4 Pokémon that attacked Viridian City during Red's Gym Leader Qualification Exam. Blue defeated it with Scizor and then caught it. Alakazam was used in Blue's battle with his master, Chuck.
  • In Chapter 3 "The Secret of Kangaskhan", Blue states that he has already caught a Venomoth after his Charmander defeats a wild Venomoth.
  • Golbat originally belonged to Koga and was acquired by Blue after he defeated Koga during the battle at Silph Co.. He later returned it to Koga during the battle with Agatha.
  • Machamp was originally a Machoke, and was accidentally transferred to Red's party after a mix-up, whereupon it evolved due to the trade. Machamp is shown to be incredibly powerful, able to hold its own against Red's Snor.
  • Ninetales first appeared in Chapter 18 "A Tale of Ninetales". Ninetales took out Red's Poliwrath and Pikachu during their battle at the Pokémon League. He later uses Ninetales to battle Agatha's Gengar.
