He played for the senior Corner Brook Royals in 1967-68, and then joined the St. Francis Xavier XMen from 1968 to 1971. Undrafted, Lundrigan was signed as a free agent by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1971. He turned pro with the Tulsa Oilers in 1971-72 and was a second team all star in the Central Hockey League. The Washington Capitals claimed him in the 1974 NHL Expansion Draft. Lundrigan played 3 games for the Capitals in 1974-75 and spent most of the season in the minors. He retired at the end of that season. In the NHL he played in 52 games and scored 2 goals and 8 assists.
