The Nuclear Reactor processes Uraninite Crystal-based Reactor Rods into Energy for use by a Seabase. The reactor is constructed with the Habitat Builder, and can only be placed in the centre of a Multipurpose Room. The Nuclear Reactor generates energy at a rate of 250 power units per minute (4.166667 per second) regardless of how many reactor rods are installed. Each reactor can store a maximum of 2500 energy units. The Reactor can hold a maximum of four reactor rods, which will become depleted reactor rods once fully consumed.

- Cost: 1000 Damage: 1 fire rate: once per second Peirce: 1 Special: When it shoots 200 times, it can deal 100 damage to all bloons on screen if you want it to, or 500 times to deal 250 damage. Range: Infinite, dart monkey (special)

- A nuclear reactor is a device used to initiate and control a sustained nuclear chain reaction. In a nuclear reactor, heat from nuclear fission is cooled with a nuclear coolant, usually water, but sometimes gas, a liquid metal, or molten salt. The cooling function of the DeLorean was handled by the rear louvers, which would expel a cloud of cold air as the time machine vented.

- The energy was created by sending a slow neutron though the center of an atom of uranium. With the relative large size of an atom of uranium, it could not handle one more neutron, so it split and sent out neutrons to the other atoms, and started the process over again. This reaction was explained by the theories of Albert Einstein. Uncontrolled nuclear reactions were used in nuclear weapons, and occasionally a malfunction or misuse in a nuclear reactor could also produce damaging effects. The PXK pergium reactor was an example of a nuclear reactor. It was used in the 2210s, but was out of common use by the 2240s. Due to an essential part being stolen, a PXK reactor was to go supercritical in ten hours and irradiate half of the planet Janus VI. (TOS: "The Devil in the Dark" ) Nuclear reactors were used on Earth in 1947, as a few Ferengi time-travelers discovered. (DS9: "Little Green Men") It appears that this term specifically refers to nuclear fission-based power sources, as the term fusion reactor is used to describe the energy source for impulse engines, which have existed since at least 2169, many years before the Janus VI incident. (TNG: "Relics" ) Cardassian space station power sources were also specifically referred to as fusion reactors. (DS9: "The Forsaken")

(PROSE: Timewyrm: Exodus) In the 1970s, Sarah Jane Smith, possessed by Eldrad, took his hand into the nuclear reactor room at the Nunton Experimental Complex. (TV: The Hand of Fear) In 1986, the nuclear reactor at Chernobyl underwent a meltdown. (COMIC: Black Destiny) Also that year, Snowcap was powered by a nuclear reactor. Ben Jackson helped devise a plan to destroy the Cybermen by using the reactor fuel rods. (TV: The Tenth Planet) In 1997, the Mars 97 was powered by two nuclear reactors constructed by Donneby's, making the vessel twice as fast as the old Mars Probes. Edward Greyhaven, having been betrayed by Lord Xznaal, programmed the reactors to overload and set the Mars Orbiter on a collision course with the Argyre clan's holdings, destroying them. (PROSE: The Dying Days) In 2006, Blon Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen plotted to destroy Earth by having the nuclear reactor at Blaidd Drwg undergo a meltdown. (TV: Boom Town) Miss Myers connected a member of the metalkind to a nuclear reactor to give them enough power to summon their species to Earth so that they would be destroyed by Sky and the fleshkind would be victorious in their war. Rani Chandra described the complexity of shutting down a reactor to Clyde Langer as "James Bond meets Mario" but the two succeeded in shutting the reactor down before the metalkind arrived. (TV: Sky) Mariah Learman's palace was powered by a nuclear reactor. (AUDIO: The Time of the Daleks) In 2199, Lord Haldoran had control of a nuclear reactor. His adviser Estro diverted some of its power to activate DA-17. (PROSE: Legacy of the Daleks) The planet Poytee was powered by global network of sub-surface atomic generators. When the populace became infected by the Tuloz Virus, the Science Corps wanted to vent the generators' coolant systems and create radioactive clouds to sterilise the planet. This plan was not used as the Fifth Doctor instead synthesised an antidote to the virus. (AUDIO: Urban Myths)
By 2015, the Mr. Fusion home energy reactor allowed nuclear power for individual homes, in a compact unit which housed a tiny nuclear reactor. Doc adapted one of these devices to replace the nuclear reactor in the DeLorean time machine. In 2045, a nuclear holocaust is caused by Griff Tannen. He uploaded a virus to the popular social network created by GriffTech, ThingMeme. It was supposed to flash the word butthead on every object on Earth, but instead, the virus causes a short circuit in the Mr. Fusion network, causing a nuclear explosion in all one hundred million of the tiny nuclear reactors present in every unit. Doc traveled back in time to prevent the invention of the Mr. Fusion, which prevented the 2045 nuclear holocaust from occurring.
- The nuclear reactor is a room available in Fallout Shelter.
