Jovians are an intelligent species native to the planet Jupiter which was believed to have become extinct before the emergence of Human civilization. As it turns out, at least some of them are still alive even in the 24th century. They are described as creatures "made of clouds", as their bodies are basically composed of dust and gas, held together by a navigational consciousness.
