Arcarius was an assassin hired by King Xenon to kill King Orestes of Attica before the Feast of the Dark Sun. He succeeded in killing Orestes but then Iolaus took his cousin's place and Xenon asked Arcarius to kill him as well. When Arcarius attempted the second assassination, he was shot with an arrow by Xenon who hoped to make it look as if he had saved Orestes's life.
