Qui-Gon Jinn was a Jedi Master and a member of the Jedi High Council during the Invasion of Utapau. Jinn served as the unofficial mentor to Obi-Wan Kenobi who, at the time, was the apprentice of Jedi Master Jard Dooku, a friend of Jinn’s. Jinn taught Kenobi philosophies that were different than Dooku’s, although Dooku did not say anything as he wished to spend less time with Kenobi due to their strained relationship. Kenobi later stated that he considered Jinn more of a master than Dooku.
