Assayr's Gate was a mountain pass in the highlands of Renthiv's main continent. The pass led to a citadel at the top of the mountain range. It was named for Assayr, a Keerzachi Centurion who died there in 155 ABY during the Battle of Renthiv. Assayr and fourteen Massassi warriors held off hundreds of Garjo soldiers, dying to the last man to buy Breek Zagrev time to reinforce their position. The Garjo eventually built an actual archway over the pass, adorned with fifteen metal plates representing the faces of Assayr and his fourteen Massassi comrades.
