Culdee is a mountain engine named after Culdee Fell. which the mountain his railway climbs. He is an old, wise, careful, cautious and friendly engine that is filled with advice to give to the other engines if needed. Culdee was built at the Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works in Winterthur, Switzerland, in 1896, and was the first to be used in the test runs on the new mountain railway. He also traveled to Switzerland for an overhaul in the 1960's.
