Dorothy White (28th April 1935 - 17th July 1998) appeared on Coronation Street in May 1978 as Joan Davies, daughter of Jack and Annie Walker (the character had previously been played by June Barry intermittently between 1961 and 1964). Born in Dumbarton but raised in Birmingham, her other credits include the 1971 film Get Carter, The Professionals and The Chinese Detective.
