When the fighters enter Subspace, they were turned into Trophies by Tabuu. Luckily, King Dedede, Luigi, and Ness are saved by Dedede's brooches and save most of the characters in Subspace (Part 1). At the same time, Kirby who had swallowed one of Dedede's brooches in previous levels, is awoken. Once the level is completed, , a cutscene plays, showing Kirby finding a trophy of Ganondorf and he studies it carefully. Immediately, Bowser arrives, and he bashes and attacks the trophy, probably because of what Ganondorf did earlier. While Kirby stares at the trophy in confusion, King Dedede leaps in from behind an hugs Kirby. This is strange since Kirby and King Dedede hate each other and are rivals.
