Yong Park is a non-canon character that made his one and only appearance in Mortal Kombat novel. He was a former Lin Kuei ninja (the Lin Kuei are described as practicing the art of ninjitsu in the novel) turned toll-taker. He was killed by Sub-Zero twenty years later for leaving the clan, a traitorous act punishable by death. His soul merged with the body of his son Tsui Park to become Scorpion. * It should be noted that this entry is "novel canon" and not true "game canon", and that the Lin Kuei are assassins, not ninjas.
