Jax-Ur is a villain in the Superman series and a Kryptonian. He was a respected general but tried to overthrow the council. This attempt was foiled by Jor-El. As punishment, Jax-Ur was sent to life in prison. Years after Krypton's destruction, he was released by his second command Mala Jax-Ur saw the potential that Earth could have under his rule and met Superman, the son of Jor-El.
