Vehrenberg stood guard behind Ripley 8 while Dr. Williamson conducted some simply memory recall tests with her to ascertain Ripley 8's intelligence. It is unknown what happened to him when the Cloned Xenomorphs escaped their containment cells; it is possible he was among the personnel who successfully escaped the Auriga aboard the first lifeboat.
