Commodore Francis Decker was the fifth commanding officer of the USS Yorktown (NCC-108). He commanded the starship from 2188 to 2196, and was the last Starfleet commander. He was preceded by Commodore Travis Mayweather, and would be succeeded by UESPA Brigadier general Gene Roddenberry. (Star Trek is...) It was the author's intention that he be the father of Matthew Decker, although this was never stated in the Star Trek is... pitch.
