The Monitor, originally known as Othello by Epizon, was a Celestial-turned-Force entity of the Primal Force. According to Epizon, the Kathol collaborated with the Celestials and Icarites, who were their allies in the Dawnstar Pact, to aid them in combating the Hollow Voice's influence. Their efforts resulted in the discovery of the Force ability of Transcendence. Epizon noted that communication with the Monitor was possibly, although strongly implied only Jeshua Kaleth, a wielder of the Primal Force who had mastered both the dark and light energies of the Force, was capable of it.
