The USS Trial (NCC-1948) was a Starfleet starship of the Miranda-class in service during the 24th century in the Star Trek universe. In early 2372 it accompanied the USS Venture and two unnamed Excelsior class starships as part of the task force sent to relieve Deep Space 9 after the First Battle of Deep Space Nine. It would return to the station again in 2373. The Trial would later fight in the Dominion War and be part of Benjamin Sisko’s task force to retake Deep Space Nine. It was also one of the first ships to dock at Deep Space 9 after the Dominion withdrawal.
