Taurion was one of King Thranduil's high councillors in the Woodland Realm. As the King had favoured Argaldor and promoted him to the chief of his Guard, Taurion had grown bitter and led to conspirating behind his king, but grew devastated when his son Tauressar proved trustworthy and gave his own life for the king in a deadly Orc ambush at he southern Borders on the Woodland Realm. Consequently Thranduil forgave Taurion and his family and eventually raised his orphaned granddaughter Tauriel.
