Horfak was a mine owner who unwittingly excavated the Portal of Evil and went through it. He went on to become the Portal's new warlord and gradually built up an army consumed by the madness of power. Horfak also gradually went through a physical change becoming eventually grotesquely deformed, until he was defeated by a hero.
