Mordal was a planet that came under contention between Imperial and Rebel forces. During the fighting in the city of Maborn, Lynnta Ballast and her daughter were killed in the crossfire causing Lynnta's husband Corwin Ballast to leave Mordal and move to Jakku to get away from the war.
