Lausis was a terrestrial planet in the Cynon system that underwent several daily bombardments from meteors and asteroids in the Japsid Belt. Though most were not planet-threatening, the occasional large asteroid would fall upon one of Lausis's hemispheres, wiping away what natural life had formed there. Though this was an abrupt change for any planet, conditions on Lausis warranted life to spring back with ease, pending an almost seasonal like adaptation. Indeed, meteors shot from the sky more so in the spring than in any other season as the planet passed closest to the asteroid belt.
