Jesse's appearance can change during his sleep, and when it occurs he is forced to change his form, whether he chooses to or not. However, this does not occur everytime he sleeps, and also the options for the change are limited. Sometimes, it is only his eye colour that changes, and he only seems to have a limited range of different selected faces. Jesse has absolutely no choice in what appearance he is given.
