Kyūta was a renowned ninja of Konohagakure, for his battle strategies that were known for ending wars "the moment they had started". He became less involved in wars when he married young Mizu Kirintei. Soon, Mizu became pregnant and both Kyūta and Mizu were shunned, presumably because of Mizu's young age and the pregnancy. Nevertheless, he was loyal to his wife and eventually came to be forced to raise their daughter, Saya on his own.
