Andi Matheny was born in Spokane, Washington and grew up in San Anselmo, California; a suburb of north of San Francisco. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in Theater Arts, Andi has appeared in several plays in Los Angeles and San Francisco, culminating in her parody of a one-woman show, the critically acclaimed Andi's Act. During this time Andi held a series of odd jobs, including writing greeting cards, selling RV's, waitressing and performing stunts at Universal Studios. Andi also periodically did stand-in work for game show pilots, a stint which led her first hosting job for Ralph Edwards/Stu Billett productions, a male beauty contest called "Bring on the Boys" several pilots followed, as did the nationally syndicated series "Kwik Witz", "Essentials" (TLC), "Fit Resort and Spa" (
