Donovan Hawthorne is a character mentioned in the novel, Picture Perfect. He was William Lancaster's assistant. Donovan turned to the dark arts when William's wife, Isabella befriended a magic expert named Miranda Nance, who later used her knowledge to trap William's spirit inside a painting. Donovan dedicated his entire life to trying to find ways to free William. When he became too old, his son took over, and later his grandson.
