Anaxus was a troll who lived under a bridge somewhere north of Sparta. He would charge passersby 20 dinars a piece to use the bridge, and would attack them if they refused. His terror was such that seperate villagers enlisted both Hercules and Xena to stop the troll. After encountering him, Hercules and Xena managed to trick Anaxus into destroying his own bridge.
