Aaron dismisses Hazel when she tells him that Jackson was just giving him a way out of feeling obligated to care for him. Aaron leaves full of self loathing after overhearing Hazel explain to Paddy her sadness about Jackson's loveless future. Later, Aaron agrees to go home with a man in Bar West, but at the last minute ducks out and visits Jackson where he explains he's tried to move on but can't. He begs Jackson to move to Dale Head, saying they belong together. Meanwhile, Terry confronts Viv about finding her housekeys. She explains how lonely she's felt since the separation and begs him not to reveal her deceit. Elsewhere, Chas gets emotional when Carl speaks about how much he trusts her, while Sam is distressed to hear that Samson might be dyslexic.
