The Closed were a faction of near-humans with three vertical slits instead of ears, that lived on the planet Carnelion IV. They were at war with the Open, a rival faction. The Closed came in contact with the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan learner, Anakin Skywalker, when they came to Carnelion IV to investigate a distress signal they had received.
