Phantes is a character on Xena: Warrior Princess. A noble Centaur, Phantes was the son of Tildus the Great. He was framed for the murder of Terreis, the Amazon that Gabrielle protected. Once proven innocent, he grew fond of Ephiny, his former enemy. They married and she became pregnant with his child. On the way to Athens, Phantes and a heavily pregnant Ephiny became caught up in a long-running civil war between the Mitoans and the Thessalians. Phantes was hunted down and killed by Mitoan dogs, whilst the soldiers looked on and laughed.
