Hachimaki is one of the very few people that Ida calls a friend and they are shown to be close and he and Yukari always look beyond Ida's cold demeanour and see the good in him. However later in the manga Ida and Hachimaki's partnership would come to a tragic end after being shot dead by a Chinese Juvinile delinquent and Ida was hit hard by his death.
